How to Choose the Right Corporate and Office Signage?

Updated: Dec 5, 2023

One of the essential elements of marketing is official signage. It has to be catchy and represent your entity well. If you think that you can simply jump onto something that is artistic for your corporate symbol, then you are wrong. There are several things that make a corporate and office signage interesting. Unless you drill your motto and ambition into the sign, people will not identify or remember your brand for long. Hence, you should be looking at the following things when you are planning a signage for your business:

  1. Company Goal and Branding: The first thing you need to get on the table is what kind of image you want to set for your business. Once you get the corporate and office signage and it hits the market, it will be difficult to edit as it might create confusion or lessen your impact. Hence, you need to think well and choose what you want to cater to your audience. Identify your target groups and things that trigger them emotionally. Only when you connect them on an emotional level, you will be able to create a bond for a long time.

  2. Floor Area and Space: The next element to work on, would be the size of your corporate and office signage. It has to be in the right proportion to get the required attention. Be it in your office or at a marketing stall, your sign should cover the area in a right manner. You will have several things to do in a day and any kind of signage should not obstruct the workflow. Whether it is a permanent sign or a temporary marketing signage, it should be worked well upon. So, you should be ready with all the measurements so that you never have any issues.

  3. Font and Color: Not every corporate or business entity will have a formal setting. Different commercial activities will have different settings from formal, semi-formal to casual. It is important that you latch on to your identity and choose fonts and colors accordingly. If you are an international company with formal clients, you cannot choose to have peppy colors that create an informal look. Hence, discuss it with your designer thoroughly that which color combinations would reflect well on the corporate and office signage. Most importantly, there should be uniformity of colors throughout. So, the signage colors should match your brand or product colors.

  4. Accessibility and Shifting: Many people invest in the corporate and office signage that is easy to access and shift as per the need. So, if you wish to have one at the stall, you should be able to pick it up from your office and fix it at the location. You can certainly think about such an option and invest in it accordingly. However, you will have to look into the material and mold of the signage. If you are looking for something that will survive for years, you will have to go for a sturdy material. This means, it might be difficult to adjust as and when you need it. However, if you have the resources, you can choose for something less sturdy and update it as it grows weak.

When you give a serious consideration to such elements while picking on the corporate and office signage, you are sure to get the best. What is important is planning well before execution. Choosing a good company to work on this is equally important. It is only when you have clarity in your thoughts, you will be able to choose a good firm and decide on a good signage.

Therefore, if the right signage is adopted, it stands assured that it will produce a manifold for the business and the employer.
